He made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding. When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses.

These verses make us sit up and take notice. There is no question Who is Master Creator and Who is in charge of all things. Because I am a visual person, a fun image in this verse involves the Lord sending the lightning. I can just see all the lightning bolts lined up in a row, crying, “Send me next, send me next! ” This God Who loves us, Who calls us His children, He is Creator, Master, Redeemer, Lord – even the wind and rain obey his command.
