All you people of the world, you who live on the earth, when a banner is raised on the mountains, you will see it, and when a trumpet sounds, you will hear it.  This is what the LORD says to me; “I will remain quiet and will look on from my dwelling place, like shimmering heat in the sunshine, like a cloud of dew in the eat of harvest.”

It seems we are in this time when God is remaining quiet, looking out at all the activities of man.  We long for the banner to be raised and the trumpet to sound.  It is our comfort, though, to know He is looking on, seeing it all, watching over us.  We need not be anxious.  When you see the heat shimmering in the sunshine, remember God is ever watchful.
