Proverbs 9:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Several years ago, some friends of mine went through a period of deep grief and struggle.  I ministered to them as God directed because there was nothing I could do to ease the pain.  Some time later, my friend asked me, “How did you know what to do?” I really didn’t know what to do.  It was uncharted territory for me as well.  There were times when I prayed fervently before I went to their home, not knowing what I could do or how I could help.

However, when we know the Holy One, and have intimate relationship with Him because we read His Word regularly and pray, He is able to instruct us in the ways of wisdom and understanding that come from heaven.  We are not the ones bringing comfort and encouragement, but rather, it is God touching them with His love and comfort through us.  We are vessels of hope and blessing.

  1. Thank you for these wise words.

We are currently in Bow, WA caring for Wayne’s mom in her home under Hospice. Please pray she says “yes” to Jesus. She went thru the motions years ago but later told Wayne she didn’t really believe it…just wanted to make Wayne happy. She says now that she doesn’t know what she believes.

She was near death a few months ago but learning she was going back to her home when we arrived from AZ she is showing such improvement that she may “graduate” from Hospice. Her cognition has declined to where she is no longer able to live alone so we are praying for direction. This may be a “honeymoon” period from which she will decline. God knows. We return home in Nov.

Sending our love and prayers. ♥️🙏🏽
