This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.
He thus revealed His GLORY. The Greek word here is DOXA which means the very nature and acts of God, Who He is and what He does when He reveals Himself in the Person of Christ.
The Glory of God wrapped itself in flesh and walked among men for 33 years. Here in Cana, for the first time, man got a glimpse of that glory. Like a flash of blinding light in a sin-darkened world, flesh gave way to glory.
It reminds me of salvation. In our world, darkened by sin, an incredible light of truth dawned with the invitation to salvation through Jesus Christ. In the midst of that glorious light, we put our faith in him, leaving behind a life of sin, beginning a life surrounded by the love and friendship of God.
Thanks for your encouragement vitamins. It’s always a good start to my day. I hope you’re getting over your pneumonia. I’m having a health crisis of my own. Perhaps we can get together and visit soon. Moe
