Psalm 103:2-5

Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.  Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.

Forget not all his benefits…When a person goes job hunting, especially, if they are head of a houselhold, benefits can be even more important than actual hourly wage or salary – health insurance, dental plans, paid vacation and sick time.

Here, David lists those benefits the Lord provides for those who know Him.  What is there in this list that turns people off?  Is it because their hearts are hard?  Jesus said, they prefer darkness over light.

  1. Forgives all your sins
  2. Heals all your diseases
  3. Redeems your life from the pit
  4. Crowns you with love and compassion
  5. Satisfies your desires
  6. Your youth is renewed like the eagles
  7. (benefits listed in vs. 3, 4 and 5)
